Parking regulations in the University Endowment Lands (UEL) have evolved over many years in response to growing traffic and parking pressures resulting from the close proximity of University of British Columbia (UBC) and population growth within the UEL itself.

In response to these pressures, the UEL has implemented a parking permit and zone system to regulate the use of on-street parking in the community.

Specific parking regulations are in place for most areas of the UEL and consist of permit parking, metered parking and "No Parking Zones".

Enforcement of parking regulations is accomplished through patrols. Parking tickets are issued to vehicles in contravention of parking regulations. Vehicles parked in contravention of the UEL parking regulations are subject to towing at the owner's expense, pursuant to the parking requirements in the UEL Land Use, Building and Community Administration Bylaw.

To determine parking regulations in your area, please view the appropriate link: Commercial Area, Multi-Family Area and Single-Family Area.

If your vehicle has been towed, please contact the local RCMP detachment or the UEL Administration Office.
